IEEE Virtual Reality Best Dissertation Award 2024
The IEEE VGTC Virtual Reality Best Dissertation Award 2024 goes to André Zenner for his dissertation on haptics for virtual reality entitled "Advancing Proxy-Based Haptic Feedback in Virtual Reality". The doctoral thesis was supervised by Antonio Krüger at the UMTL (Saarland University and DFKI).
André received this renowned international award on March 18, 2024 at the IEEE Virtual Reality Conference 2024 in Orlando, Florida. The award recognizes outstanding academic research and development in the field of virtual reality, with selection criteria including the significance and impact of the scholarly contributions, and the clarity with which these contributions are communicated.
